Preventive Auto Maintenance & Oil
Change Service
Your car has a lot of responsibilities. It takes you to work, the
kids to school; It can’t be late for soccer practice or the
orthodontist. Most importantly, it has to do all these things, and many
more, while keeping you and your family safe. At ACE, we're
committed to maintaining the safety and reliability of your car.
In fact, our mechanics are trained to perform factory-recommended
maintenance services for most vehicles.
- Oil Change and Air Filter:
3,000-6,000 miles (see vehicle owner's manual)
- Change the oil with up to five (5) quarts of quality motor oil
- Replace oil filter
- Visually Inspect:
- antifreeze/coolant reservoir levels
- engine air filtration system
- serpentine belts
- brake fluid level in transparent reservoirs
- wiper blades
- exterior lights - Lubricate the chassis (when applicable)
- Check tire pressure
- Check and top off the following fluids:
- transmission/transaxle fluids
- differential fluid
- power steering fluid
- windshield washer fluid
- battery water (excluding sealed batteries)
- A/C Services:
- visually inspect the air conditioning compressor drive belt for cracks or damage
- visually inspect accessible components for leaks or damage
- check the operation of the air conditioning compressor and other air conditioning components
- evacuate refrigerant from the system
- vacuum test the system
- recharge the air conditioning system using the appropriate
refrigerant to the system capacity according to the vehicle
manufacturer's specifications
- Cooling System:
- visually checking the radiator and radiator hoses for leaks
- evacuating the old antifreeze/coolant
- refilling the cooling system with the appropriate type and
amount of antifreeze/coolant
- Drive Train Services:
Differential Service- evacuating the old differential fluid
- filling the differential with manufacturer recommended type and quantity of new fluid
- draining the old transfer case fluid
- filling the transfer case with manufacturer's recommended
type and quantity of new fluid
- Transmission Services:
- removing the transmission fill/drain plug to remove the old automatic transmission fluid
- reinstalling transmission fill/drain plug
- refilling the transmission with new automatic transmission fluid to the proper level
